Title: Senior Consultant, Application – Risk & Compliance

In Risk & Compliance the Senior Analyst is responsible for analysis, design, and development within the LexisNexis & Actimize Suites of applications. This is a senior role on the team that requires hands-on experience in implementing LexisNexis and Actimize solutions, strong domain understanding of AML processes and practice, and is responsible for enhancing and supporting data ingest/egress integrations within Compliance Applications. While no direct line management responsibilities, this incumbent will be expected to have dotted line responsibility as a technical lead working with domestic US and offshore teams.

Must have experience with modern software development, DevOps, AGILE, and production support. Must be SME on LexisNexis and Actimize products, solid AML domain understanding (CAMS certification preferred), and a strong technical background, and not afraid / fully capable in hands-on leading and developing dev tasks. Assist junior members of the team on development efforts (ie. scripts, Java, SQL, LexisNexis, Actimize). Must strive to continuously develop new and improved technical capabilities. Applicants must also possess clear oral and written communication skills and demonstrate flexibility while working on multiple projects and initiatives concurrently.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with Compliance architect and Business analyst to own and build new End-to-End solution, lead tech team designing and developing solutions meeting objectives, including operational SLAs.
  • Address and triage escalated issues, which may be off hours due to nature of around the clock escalation support model.
  • Develop solutions with within LexisNexis: Bridger application Suite.
  • Develop solutions with within Actimize: AIS modeler, CDD, RCM, SAM, and UDM.
  • Conduct sessions with Business and vendor in order to report and troubleshoot issues.
  • Lead operational escalations from incident origination to close, plus any root cause, remediation, and prevention.
  • Reporting of incidents to management and stakeholders during incident lifecycle.
  • Write and debug complex SQL queries from databases (such as Oracle).
  • Participate in peer design reviews and provide recommendations.
  • Improve operational stability via automation, such as autohealing where possible, and raise design changes to data analyst, SMEs and/or architects, as well as opportunities to application/service managers
  • Ensure all data mapping, data lineage, functional spec, and any other technical documentation are detailed and up to date
  • Ensure runbooks are fully up-to date and consistently improving the efficiency derived from automation
  • Work some off hours as demanded by projects, operations, and need of the on-shore team and stakeholders, such as release, testing and/or critical bug resolutions
  • Provide US/EMEA overnight support on critical processes in AML program, such as data feed batch jobs, reports, etc in a follow the sun model.
  • Ensure handover of issues region to region with precise and concise handover daily shift notes.
  • Support incidents management during incident lifecycle by resolving service stoppage and remediation activities as well as any post mortem actions
  • Support management in operational reporting on vendor issues, internal issues, partner team issues, and respective root causes
  • Communicate with systems, vendors, and partners regarding new technology/systems issues that would enhance current practices/maintain system availability and SLAs.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
Must have:
  • 7+ years of overall industry experience
  • A College or University degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Solid technical background with at least 5 years of demonstrated track record in end-to-end software development life cycle and successful delivery of technical solutions using modern techniques
  • Experience working in a global structure with follow the sun model for production operations and development handover from region to region
  • Domain expertise in AML applications with minimum expertise on LN Bridger Application Suite, SAM and RCM
- Hands-on experience in implementation, configuration, and upgrades of Actimize solutions - SAM, CDD, AIS, UDM, and STAR3
  • Working experience with LexisNexis Product Support, Firco Support, and Actimize Professional and Product Support Teams
  • Strong knowledge of writing queries in LNB SQL server and Actimize database schemas UDM
  • Working experience in Web Services
  • Solid experience with Unix scripting, low-code automation, and high-touch debugging and analysis of issues
  • Web application architecture understanding from a design, deployment and support perspective
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Current hands-on experience with Control-M
  • High degree of independence and able to work effectively with low touch directions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
  • Fraud prevention applications
  • DevOps and CICD related experience
  • Good knowledge and/or hands-on experience with DataStage
  • JIRA, ServiceNow, and Confluence
  • Industry certification is preferred (such as PPM, ITIL, Agile, etc.)
