BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

The HR Generalist position supports the Division in the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring in recruiting, employee relations, event planning, HRIS database upkeep, and safety programs.

 PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:  This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company's policies, procedures and guidelines:

• Serve as initial point of advice, problem resolution and facilitation in the areas of employee relations, performance management and employee discipline. 
  
• Supports the organization in our interviewing program.
• Conduct and analyzing exit interviews, recommending changes.
• Coordinates all events including new hire orientation, and other local events as required.
• Assists in the annual internship program with capstone projects, internship events and training.
• Maintains data in HRIS database, which may include some or all of the following:  filing, troubleshooting, implementing updates and running reports.
• Assists with employee relations issues, including meeting with employees, managers and directors with minor investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Participates in interactive discussions and responsible for ADA compliance.
• Participates in the local safety program.
• Provides HR support to division department Directors.
• Responsible for the administration of Performance Management, FMLA, Workers Compensation Claims, Relocation, Unemployment Claims, Attendance Policy and Time and Attendance.
• Other duties as assigned by members of management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
• Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR) preferred.
• At least 3-7 years of Human Resources experience required.
• At least 2-4 years of full cycle generalist experience, including but not limited to recognition and awards programs, organizational development, performance administration, and budget analysis preferred.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce preferred.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION: Basic office equipment (computer, phones, copiers)
