Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
- Administer the company's A/P process, including invoice validation, coding payments in QuickBooks, generating checks and maintaining A/P files.
- Conduct month-end reconciliation of our A/P and A/R with Bank Statements. Our A/R includes a large volume of deposits from numerous payors.
- Reconcile working journals to general ledger at month-end.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations (balance sheet, credit card, and bank reconciliations) accurately and timely.
- On a bi-weekly basis, consolidate wage, hour and paid leave information for submission to our payroll processing vendor.
- On a bi-weekly basis coordinate and upload 401(k) contributions to our plan provider.
- Process new enrollment or changes to employee benefit elections as required. Maintain benefits information and files as needed.
- Assist with employee benefits reporting as needed
- Preparing monthly and quarterly sales tax for Washington and Oregon State.
- Processing monthly closing and preparing monthly financial reports, such as Balance Sheet and Income Statement to meet deadline.
- Preparing 1099 for vendors at year end.
- Provide documents and answers to CPA firm for year-end tax return and audit purposes.
- Work closely with billing department staff and others to maintain accuracy of account.
Position Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper with some experience reconciling a large volume of A/R deposits
- Proven level of proficiency with QuickBooks
- An Associate Degree in a related field preferred
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated professional and ethical standards of conduct with a high level of integrity and honesty
- Must have a solid working knowledge of spreadsheets and the google platform
