Salary & Benefits
- Anticipated Hiring Range: $74,870 - $93,587/annual - depending on education and experience
- Full Hiring Range: $74,870 - $112,304/annual - depending on education and experience.
- Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $5,640 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay
- Paid Holidays: 21 (including a full week off between Christmas and New Year's Day and over Spring Break)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
LEADERSHIP: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a team of four success coaches/peer mentors at two Flagstaff Unified School District locations. Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional development and effective mentorship.
PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT: Directly supervises a team of four full-time staff. Responsible for hiring and training direct reports and for providing ongoing training, development, and support for these individuals. Conducts performance evaluations and carries out corrective actions when necessary. Works closely with Human Resources in advertising, hiring, onboarding, training, and managing personnel.BUDGET MANAGEMENT: Responsible for management and appropriate use of grant funds to include developing, monitoring, and approving budgetary expenditures. Works with CCC Foundation to maintain an accurate budget.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT: Collaborates with direct reports to manage the full range of program activities - including recruitment, curriculum delivery and establishes and maintains departmental policies and procedures. Coordinates and implements the Dual Enrollment component with CCC and the local high school.
- Builds and develops a new program curriculum aimed at supporting high school students to begin acquiring college course credit. The program design must also include elements of non-academic support to help encourage a successful transition to higher education.
- Leads outreach with high school students, parents, teachers, counselors and administrators.
- Responsible for enrollment of targeted population students into operating HS2CCC programs (DE, CAVIAT, Concurrent).
- Oversees and manages CCC's elementary and middle school aged summer camps.
OUTREACH: Builds and maintains positive relationships with local education agencies, employment agencies, governmental groups, community organizations, and others involved in referring prospective students.
COLLABORATION: Continually strives to build and maintain partnerships with Academic Affairs, Marketing & Community Relations, Flagstaff Unified School District, and other internal and external stakeholders. Also coordinates with Student Services.
COMMUNICATION: Responsible for ensuring that materials used by the department are accurate, complete, and timely. Works with CCC and FUSD staff to provide accurate and complete information on the web, by phone, and in person. Communicates needs of department in a complete and timely way and informs departmental staff of things happening in other parts of the College and external environment that are relevant to their work.
INCLUSIVITY: Works with Foundation Director and staff to ensure that all students and employees are fully included and provided with a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment at the College. Helps to cultivate work and learning environments that encourage and support diversity; assists with identifying and rectifying areas where the College is lacking in multiculturalism or minority support. Leads inclusivity efforts within Recruitment, Admissions, and High School Programs.

Knowledge of curriculum design, recruitment, admissions, barriers to credential completion, and early college education. Demonstrated success with forging partnerships and collaborations. Ability to work with multi-culturally diverse groups, individuals, and environments. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's and 5 years' experience or a Master's and 3 years' experience, with a Degree in Education, Counseling, or related field. Minimum of three years' experience in higher education, secondary education, dual enrollment programs, or related areas. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job and/or as approved by the Human Resources Department. Must also have a valid AZ driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record in developing and managing educational programs, with experience in recruiting and retaining students from special populations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising and developing a new staff in newly created positions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, educators, and community partners.
- Ability to analyze and use data to inform program development and improvement.
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state education laws and policies.
