JOB DESCRIPTION: Director of Programs

Responsibilities

The Director of Programs will be responsible for all of Paragon's Program Management aspects related to control of cabin pressure, removal of air contaminants, air conditioning, provision of water and monitoring of water quality, monitoring of atmosphere conditions, crew protection of hazardous environment, fire hazard mitigation, ECLSS control system, waste management, and ECLSS internal and external interfaces.

Key Functions:

• Provide oversight and insight responsibility for Paragon's Programs Department.
• Review relevant vendor products, capabilities and ability of vendors to perform.
• Monitor technical, cost and schedule status of development activities, testing, and operations planning.
• Identify and/or evaluate technical/cost/schedule issues, changes, or concerns.
• Analyze technical information that and assess possible impacts to cost and schedule.
• Formulate responses and presentations to internal and external customers
• Present to the appropriate boards, panels, or technical/status meetings.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical discipline from a recognized institution
• 15 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
• Exhibits exceptionally high level of innovation, creativeness, and initiative
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
• Experience with spacecraft environmental control and life support functions
• Ability to coordinate across multiple organizations
• Ability to develop and clearly communicate complex information

Preferred

• Strong background in requirements development and verification planning
• PMP Certification
• Familiarity with NASA ECLSS

US Citizenship and Permanent Resident Status is required for this position.
