Job Description
Our well-established, growing company based in Cleburne, is seeking an energetic, talented, full-time professional to enhance our operational effectiveness as our Full Charge Bookkeeper. Our ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience with accounting. A successful candidate will assist in the process improvement to ensure accurate and consistent accounting practices and procedures. This position requires a very detailed, analytical, and structured approach in addition to open communication with the owner.
Responsibilities
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Oversee most financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process
- Work with the owner and service coordinator and provide detailed financial reporting to ensure costs, timeline, and budget of projects are accurately estimated
- Perform extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software
- Update and maintain accurate financial records, estimates, annual budgets, tax reports, and financial statements
- Process invoices, checks, and ACH advice accurately and on time and reconcile any invoice actuals to estimates
- Expense management, shipping cost tracking
- Project-based accounting
- Track project deposit/retainer payments
- Fact-checking accounting data
- W9 tracking and management
- Insure accurate inventory tracking, costs
- Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, prepare balance sheets, and financial reports
- Monthly accounting analysis
- Audit coordination and management
- Collaborate with external accounting firm
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BA/BS College Degree Minimum in Accounting, or similar field
- 4 years of previous experience in accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Exceptional organization, analytical, problem solving, and communications skills are important
- QuickBooks Online Advanced experience
- High level of proficiency in Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem solver and critical thinker
- Exceptional time management skills
- Must be a person with a strong work-ethic, professional attitude and consistently demonstrate honesty and integrity
Work Location
Work in our office near Cleburne, TX. Core working hours are between 8AM and 5PM
