Description
We are in search of a well-rounded accountant to service our clients and colleagues in the fine art of bookkeeping. We need the right individual that will help us assist our accelerated growth. We need an individual who can think independently and take full responsibility and pride in their area of expertise.
- Addresses customers and/or vendors concerns and questions regarding invoices and payments.
- Maintain general ledgers including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, cash disbursements, journal entries, month-end close and year-end
- Process payroll, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, 1099s, W-2s, and prepare annual financial statements
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Prepare reports and summaries for management
- Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Make bank deposits, reconcile bank statements
- Prepare quarterly tax filings
- Organize and maintain all documents
- Must ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial/reporting files
Requirements
- 3+ years of solid, hands-on bookkeeping experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business preferred
- Proficient with QuickBooks (cloud-based and desktop)
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations
- Able to work well independently & autonomously
- Self-starter who is energetic and flexible.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
