Glades Talent is working together with a leading EMT Clinic looking for a Front Desk Representative. This clinic is dedicated to providing exceptional medical services to our community with a focus on efficiency, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
As a Front-Desk Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for everyone who enters our clinic. You will handle various administrative tasks efficiently while demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Responsibilities:
1. **Greeting and Assisting Patients:** Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor. Provide assistance with check-in procedures, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
2. **Appointment Scheduling:** Manage appointment scheduling, including new patient registrations, follow-up appointments, and rescheduling as necessary. Coordinate appointments with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
3. **Answering Inquiries:** Respond promptly and courteously to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding clinic services, appointment availability, and general information. Direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member when necessary.
4. **Insurance Verification:** Verify patient insurance information accurately, ensuring eligibility and coverage details are up-to-date. Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide guidance on billing procedures.
5. **Maintaining Patient Records:** Ensure patient information is entered and updated correctly in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Safeguard patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
6. **Cash Handling and Billing:** Process payments for services rendered, collect co-payments, and issue receipts. Assist with billing inquiries and address any discrepancies in billing statements.
7. **Office Maintenance:** Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room. Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
8. **Assisting Medical Staff:** Collaborate with medical personnel to facilitate patient care, including escorting patients to examination rooms, updating medical histories, and assisting with medical procedures when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting or customer service role preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is advantageous.
