We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our medical office team. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk area. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical administrative support and possess strong communication skills. You will work 4 days a week, with one day off.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with medical scheduling and coordinate patient appointments
- Provide administrative support to medical staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Utilize electronic health record systems such eClinicalWorks
- Perform general office duties, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical administrative procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries and concerns
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures
