Healing Hands Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are looking for a caring, professional, and experienced Front Office Dental Associate to join our team! You will oversee patient flow and daily operations in the dental Front Office. You will act as the ‘face’ of our clinic and ensure patients receive a heartwarming welcome. You will coordinate all front desk activities, including calls, appointments, charting, and processing payments. As the Front Office Dental Associate, you should combine a pleasant personality with a dynamic professional attitude to deal efficiently and compassionately with patients who may be experiencing pain or stress about seeing the dentist. Ultimately, you should be able to provide a professional and friendly experience to our patients while also coordinating their care with our dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients at check-in, and assists with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments
- Prepares patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff. Updates patient records and documents. Performs general office duties, such as electronic records, photocopying, emailing, scanning, and faxing
- Communicates with the dentists and coordinates the dentists’ schedules. Confirms upcoming dental appointments (schedule/reschedule/cancel appointments). Effectively communicates with the front and back office regarding patients’ needs
- Ensures dental procedure codes are accurately entered into the database. Closes out the end of the day and the money drawer, ensures office cleanliness, and maintains a professional reception area.
- Assists with the administration of grant funded programs, including TennCare and VA Medicaid benefits.
Skills
- Dental Front Office experience (minimum 1 year required)
- Patterson Eaglesoft experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Dental Assistant experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Minimum High School diploma; additional certification is a plus
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
- Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
