Manager on Duty
Reporting – Reports directly to Service Operations Manager.
Job Description: Responsible for supporting the Operations Leadership team in the day-to-day operations of running the floor shifts including, but not limited to, opening the facility, closing the facility, leading by example, educating, and supporting a large hourly team, ensuring the optimum guest experience, and executing standards set forth by the Operations Leadership team.
The Manager on Duty must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the Operations Leadership team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advocates for the Mission Statement.
- Provides support to the Operations Leadership team by controlling the Guest Service and Table Service guest flow.
- Ensure all operational and cleanliness standards are met and exceeded.
- Supports education and continuous development of the hourly team.
- Effectively communicate with Service Operations Manager.
- Aids with “in the moment” coaching of hourly staff members.
- Balancing excellent Guest and Team Member experience while regarding the labor budget.
- Interacts with Guests and provides exceptional Guest experience.
- Responsible for the overall safety of Casa Bonita, its Team Members, Guests, Vendors, and Community.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum two of successful experience in a supervisory role of a high-volume hospitality establishment.
- Competent in managing large teams.
- Strong analytical skill.
- Guest experience focus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good observation skills.
- Strong leadership skills.

- Cash handling compliance.
- Assists in and runs the day-to-day operation.
- Ensure health and safety compliance.

Working Conditions:
- Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- All scheduled work weeks include a minimum of one weekend shift.
- May be indoor or outdoor setting dependent on occasion with varied weather conditions.
- Will work near moving or mechanical parts.
- May work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles.
- May work in tight spaces.
- Ability to work in a loud, distracting environment with flashing lights, ongoing shows, and large numbers of guests constantly moving around you.
- PTO blackout period from Thanksgiving week to mid-January. The facility will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days for team members to spend time with family and/or loved ones.
- This is a full-time role with ongoing weekend hours.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, read, and hear/understand English fluently.
- Must have close and distant vision.
- Must be able to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent walking, standing, and moving between tight spaces.
- Capable of walking and standing on feet for 8-10 hours a day.
- Capable of walking extended distances.
- Able to walk both up inclines and down declines multiple times in a shift.
- Able to walk up and down stairs multiple times in a shift.
- Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts/carries up to 150 pounds (full beer kegs).
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Must be able to pivot on feet to move around groups of people.
- Must be able to move from seated to standing and standing to seated positions without assistance.
- Able to reach hands and arms in any direction.
- Capable of kneeling and stooping multiple times in a shift.
