As an RFP Specialist, at United Rentals, you will work closely with our senior sales force to coordinate and submit timely, professional, and influential sales documents necessary throughout the contracting process. This process includes creating, organizing and submitting all components of large bids and requests for proposal that impact United Rentals’ largest customers and prospects. You will function within a group called the “deal desk” that functions as the main production hub for large account sales proposal materials.

Location will be determined by the final qualified selected candidate.
Additional duties include the following:
Coordinate with account managers and regional sales leadership to develop sales-focused proposal materials related to each customer as required. Includes – RFP/RFQs, executive summaries, proposal documents, formal bids, roll-out documents, customer mapping analyses
Contribute to the departments proposal response database where the most common proposal questions have well-developed, relevant answers are kept and referenced
Constantly develop computer design skills and abilities
Present at internal sales and operations meetings as required
Serve as a design expert, able to advise stakeholders on relevant content, layout and professional appearance in accordance with brand standards
Organize and lead teams of stakeholders to bid/RFP completion. Groups often include sales leaders, district/branch managers, specialty business unites, legal, risk management and pricing
Identify and train new account managers on the capabilities and skills of the department
Ensure that all deal desk materials are completed with correct company information at all times (safety stats, publicly traded company financials, number of locations, etc.)
Report work activities with the company’s Salesforce.com platform

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Advanced knowledge of Adobe design software suite to include InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Strong command of MS Office product
Excellent verbal and written communication
Experience writing and creating Proposal Documents for B2B company preferred
