Job Overview
As a Front-End Developer, you will be an integral part of our development team, focusing on creating visually appealing and functionally robust websites. This role involves translating design into code, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across our digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement front-end web code, primarily focusing on CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
Collaborate with web designers to ensure accurate translation of design into code and coordinate with designers and copywriters to match design and content intent.
Write well-designed, efficient code using best development practices.
Create website layouts and user-friendly interfaces via standard HTML5/CSS3 practices in WordPress.
Assist the development team with overflow work as needed.
Coordinate with designers and copywriters to match design and content intent.
Perform website edits, updates, and recommendations for the existing client base.
Communicate effectively with clients and internal consultants.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Maintain and improve website aesthetics.
Test websites across browsers, operating systems, and devices.
Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Possesses a wide breadth of knowledge regarding standards-compliant HTML, CSS & JavaScript, including responsive design techniques, and performance implications of CSS / CSS Animations & JavaScript.
Knowledgeable of modern CSS concepts such as Grid CSS and Flexbox. Experience with Vue.js or React.js is a plus.
Has an understanding of web standards and accessibility.
Experienced in integrating external web services, such as SOAP, REST, or GraphQL APIs, is recommended.
Familiarity with using Git to create branches and push new code changes and can create pull requests for the technical lead to code review.
Demonstrates a proven track record of following through with deadlines and keeping up with new tasks.
Experience building WordPress, BigCommerce, and Shopify sites.
Knowledge of React and other front-end frameworks.
Education
Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
