RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Front End Developer position reports to our Director of Software Development and is part of a team of developers designing and developing both web-based and mobile software products for Common App. This position focuses on providing technical expertise, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with the needs of The Common Application community.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires:
- Candidates must live in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience or other relevant area with at least 3 to 5 years of successful, progressive experience in front-end software development; or combined relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Web Application development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SPA frameworks such as Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, etc.
- 3+ years of experience in building and maintaining design systems using Stencil.js or similar frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience in testing methodologies (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing) in front-end development.
- 2+ years of experience in Hybrid Mobile Framework using Ionic, Android Studio, XCode, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in CI / CD Patterns using GitHub Actions, source control with GitHub, and AWS CI/CD services.
- Progressive knowledge and experience in W3C, WCAG standards, Figma, MVC, MVVM design patterns
- Proficiency in responsive design and mobile-first development principles.
- Experience in Agile practices.
- Able to debug and troubleshoot in production environments.
- Expected to evaluate and make recommendations based on complex Proof of Concepts.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
- Able to effectively use database software, Internet software, and project management software.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years of experience in Web Application development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SPA frameworks such as Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, etc.
- Experience with A/B testing, user experience journey mapping, and focus groups/workshops
- Understanding of Salesforce platform and integrations with it
- A passion for higher education is a plus.
PAY RANGE
Target hiring salary range $75,479 - $84,914
