Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and collect patient co-pays
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Ensure the Front Desk area is clean and organized
Skills:
- Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, or similar medical/dental office software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and providers
- Strong organizational skills to manage appointment schedules and patient records
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office is preferred
