Front Desk Receptionist – Part-time – Arlington Heights

We are a busy pediatric office looking to fill a Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist in our Arlington Heights office. Front Desk Receptionist (FDR) plays a vital role in the care of our patients. FDR’s are the first point of contact for patients of our practice and have the key responsibilities in the coordination of many day-to-day office activities. We need someone who is available to work 2-3 days per week, closing two evenings per week, a day shift and 1-2 Saturdays per month, approximately 16-20 hours per week. We would need this person to be flexible to be able to fill-in for vacations and sick days for full time staff.

Job duties include:

Patient registration, insurance verification, collecting co-pays and balances, schedule appointments, document scanning, answering telephones and directing calls, appointment reminder calls, working faxes and coordination of daily activities.

We are looking for a candidate that has excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette, highly organized, demonstrate excellent work ethics and professionalism and have proficient computers skills to document accordingly into our EMR system.

Candidate must be detailed-oriented, able to multi-task and be flexible in their job duties and work hours as needed to complete daily job requirement.

In addition, the candidate must maintain an environment characterized by trust, acceptance, recognition, respect and be pleasant, dependable, punctual and a team player. This position will have a wide range of access to protected health information (“PHI”) and understands the importance of confidentiality regarding all patient information pursuant to HIPAA policy and procedures.

Qualifications

1-2 years’ experience in a Medical office preferred or fast-paced highly interactive customer service environment.

Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task

Candidate must be proficient in typing

Self-motivated in with the ability to exceed patient expectations

Flexibility to support change, with varying schedules as necessary
