Front Desk Agent
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Register guests and assign rooms, ensuring all necessary information is obtained
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about the hotel's facilities and services
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized Front Desk area
- Manage reservations and update availability in the computerized system
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and photocopying
Skills:
- Experience within hospitality or medical office role is a plus
- Proficiency in computer applications, including calendar management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of office management procedures and basic accounting principles (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and management
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and remain calm under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information and financial transactions
- Basic clerical skills such as typing, filing, and record keeping
- Previous experience working at the Front Desk or in a customer service role is preferred
