Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix software
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information in the system
- Assist with dental billing and insurance claims, including medical coding
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring aseptic technique is followed
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Provide administrative support, such as answering phone calls and managing correspondence
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Complete dental prophylaxis and manage pediatric patients.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Dentrix dental software is preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and medical coding
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Ability to take and develop dental X-rays
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
