Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in our medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical setting and possess excellent communication skills.

Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Verify patient information and update records in the electronic medical records system (EMR)
- Schedule appointments and manage the physician's calendar
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers to schedule referrals or consultations
- Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or Medical Receptionist preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (EMR), such as Epic, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
