Full-Time Medical Authorization Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist

Fast-paced Neurology practice in Ronkonkoma seeking a FULL-TIME Authorization Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist. Applicants should be available to work approximately 35-38 hours per week, including a late evening on Monday (until ~6:45pm) and a half-day on Friday (from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm).

The right candidate must be reliable, responsible, personable, and capable of working independently. Job responsibilities include MANAGING PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, communicating with physicians, medical records, and general clerical duties to support office staff. Attention to detail is a must.

E-Clinical Works software experience is a plus and medical office and PRIOR AUTHORIZATION experience are REQUIRED. The prior authorizations will be for medical imaging, medications, and procedures, and familiarity with this process is needed for this position. Please do not apply if you do not have experience in a medical office.
