DENTAL FRONT RECEPTIONIST
Job Description
The Dental Front Receptionist is responsible for assisting patients with the check-in process as well as maintaining a positive relationship with referring dental offices. This position processes patient registration paperwork and collects payments at time of service. Works with Practice Manager to ensure dental team complies with established collection procedures. Ensures integrity of daily deposits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greet patients
- Register new patients according to established office protocols
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- Verify and accurately update patient information
- Inform patients of dental office procedures and policy
- Move patients through appointments as scheduled
- Enter all relevant patient information into EMR system
- Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
- Answer and manage incoming calls
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Schedule patient appointments
- Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
- Check daily appointment schedule
- Arrange patient charts for next day/week appointments
- Fill in cancellations and no-shows
- Organize referrals from other dental providers
- Collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
- Prepare and mail billing statements
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing postal items
- Monitor and maintain inventory of dental office supplies
- Maintain a professional reception area
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
● Minimum 2 years previous Dental office experience required.
● General education degree or high school diploma
● Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
● Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
