SalarySeeking front office/ admin assistant for part time (20-32 hours per week) work in naturopathic medicine and acupuncture clinic during a maternity leave from now until October. This is temporary position with possible opportunity to continue at 10-20 hours per week after October. This position is also part of our transitional team as we shift our clinic providers and specialties.
Our schedule is somewhat flexible, with certain clinic days/times requiring front office staff and other days not, which allows this position to be very accommodating of the candidates life outside of the work place.
Primary responsibilities include answering phones, cleaning office, scheduling/checking in patients, data entry including patient information and submitting insurance claims, calling insurance companies, accounting, scanning and faxing documents, running errands, filing.
Experience in a medical office is necessary, with knowledge of Practice Fusion, Office Ally/Practice Mate or other insurance billing programs helpful. Also important is that a successful candidate will possess the following qualities: Excellent customer service skills, basic computer competency with willingness to learn new computer programs, and ability to work in small office environment as a team or independently. Applicants should also have the ability to multi-task and prioritize with attention to details, have ability to listen to feedback, communicate clearly and kindly, and to learn quickly and find enjoyment in some parts of the work day.
Range of compensation is based on experience.
