The Dietary Technician Registered will work under the supervision of the VP, Operations as well as with the staff of registered dietitians.
- Call patients and assess nutritional status, condition of feeding devices and tolerance of enteral feedings.
- Formulate nutritional care plans and update every 60 days
- Complete detailed written orders (DWO) based on physician orders.
- Provide consultative services and recommendations as appropriate, with registered dietitian's approval.
- Pump troubleshooting with patients and/or caregivers for Kangaroo and Infinity pumps
- Complete new admissions, medical history, care plans, follow up calls, physician orders, nutritional assessments and ordering, as
- needed.
- Document in the medical record the coordination of care with other healthcare providers.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Enteral and TPN qualifications & billing clinical support.
- Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation against Medicare, government and commercial payer's medical practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Complete understanding of confidentiality with respect to Company proprietary information as well as information concerning patient/client care; complying with all federal and state laws as apply to confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI); and following the HIPAA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information.
