As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients visiting our grooming salon. Your friendly demeanor, organizational skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to a positive customer experience. You’ll handle various administrative tasks while ensuring smooth salon operations.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly Greet Clients:
- Welcome clients with a friendly smile and make them feel comfortable.
- Escort clients to the appropriate grooming station and notify assigned groomers of their arrival.
- Appointment Management:
- Book and confirm appointments via phone, email, or in person.
- Maintain an organized appointment schedule.
- Handle walk-ins and inquiries about services, providing availability details.
- Financial Transactions:
- Process transactions (cash and credit cards) accurately.
- Issue receipts promptly.
- Client Interaction:
- Engage with clients in the waiting area, offering beverages and friendly conversation.
- Inform clients about new services, discounts, and promotions.
- Cross-sell additional services and products when appropriate.
- Administrative Duties:
- Update client records with contact information, billing details, and services provided.
- Manage the salon’s call center, answering inquiries and addressing client needs.
- Order business cards, brochures, and stationery as needed.
- Assist Groomers:
- Support groomers by taking pictures of the adorable pups during grooming sessions.
- Help with shampooing or other tasks as required.
- Maintain a Clean Workspace:
- Keep the reception area tidy and organized.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of your work station.
- Reminder Communications:
- Send reminder texts or make courtesy calls to clients for upcoming appointments.
Requirements:
- Proven Work Experience:
- Previous experience as a Salon Receptionist, Front Desk Representative, or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with office equipment (printers, POS systems).
- Proficient in handling phone calls, emails, and transactions.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Customer service-oriented attitude.
- Organization:
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Calm Under Pressure:
- Ability to remain composed during busy periods.
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
