About the Business:
The Greater Pittsburgh Sports Complex is a member-based sports facility located in the heart of Robinson Township. The facility features two full court basketball courts that can transition into 6 pickleball courts, indoor turf, batting cages and an outdoor grass field. Members and drop-ins participate in a wide variety of sports at our complex! We also offer team rentals, sport specific training and group fitness.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist members, visitors, clients, and guests, always ensuring a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Perform various tasks, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence, and ensuring timely and accurate response to inquiries.
- Direct all unanswerable questions to the manager and let customers know the manager will get back to them as soon as possible.
- Handle point of sale transactions for members and non-members.
- Ability to sign up new customers for membership in our system.
- Enforce rules and regulations of our facility to members and participating customers.
- Maintain and organize filing systems, documents, and records, both physical and electronic, to ensure easy retrieval and confidentiality.
- Assist in managing sports equipment, inventory, and ensuring their availability and functionality to members and guests.
- Set up and break down the sports facility for specific events like wrestling, softball training and group fitness.
- Follow opening shift and closing shift standard operations of procedure.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support as needed to ensure efficient workflow and cross-functional coordination.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or relevant training is a plus.
- Proven experience working at a Front Desk or in a similar role.
- Driver’s license and transportation to get to work.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in finding solutions independently.
- Professional demeanor, with a positive attitude, reliability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
