Role:
Our Fraud Prevention Specialist will monitor credit and debit accounts and implement rules to decrease fraudulent transactions. Responsible for the development and implementation of fraud strategy to identify trends and patterns. Performs fraud support processing for all forms of Member impacting fraud and maintains organizational compliance with risk exposure monitoring and reporting. Reviews and analyzes accounts and member situations that may require differentiated treatment or specialized resolution.
What you will be doing:
- Conducts investigations of fraudulent activity to ensure minimal loss to the organization.
- Coordinates recovery of losses due to fraudulent activity.
- Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures to detect and prevent the occurrence of fraudulent activity.
- Acts as liaison to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Performs monthly write-offs and reconciles general ledgers related to fraud losses.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
What you'll bring along:
- A high school education or GED
- 1-3 years of similar or related experience
- Must have Excel and Word general user experience
- Works involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
- Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
