Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: * People Leadership and Development: Support the Site Manager in the growth and development of the staff, including: feedback for performance evaluations, collecting feedback from the staff and implementing ideas that will enhance the Food Safety at the site
* Responsible for Morton Grove Food Safety and Quality Systems. If receive reports of Food Safety or Quality problems, initiate action to resolve
* SQF Practitioner
* Oversee the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Systems and specifically the SQF system
* Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF system
* Reporting any Food Safety and quality problems to Head of Production or Managing Director to initiate action and resolve
* Complying with SOPs, GMPs and safety programs
* Performing HACCP and Food Defense tasks as needed
* Assist with completing regulatory information requests as needed
* Participate as member of internal crisis management team
* Other duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor"s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field * 5+ years of experience of a combination of people leadership and working in a lab environment * Experience in a manufacturing environment and maintaining GFSI and / or ISO 9001 standards * Proven Food Safety expertise in a manufacturing environment
