Job Description:
About the Role:
The Corporate Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Healthand Safety Manager will provide safety, ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, and strategic direction by leading and supporting operations efforts to identify, eliminate and reduce exposures to create a safe and compliant work environment. They are accountable for all ergonomics, and Industrial Hygiene systems and metrics while supporting and advising the corporate TreeHouse health and Safety Program. They will serve as the corporate subject matter expert and will lead the effort to eliminate, prevent, or reduce the occurrence of safety, and health losses.
- Works as a Subject Matter Expert to develop and implement TreeHouse Foods EHS Standards and programs to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements in accordance with federal/state/local regulatory and Company requirements (OSHA and policies).
- Manages corporate projects to ensure interaction with facility management team, team leaders, and facility employees to increase awareness and education levels regarding safe and compliant work.
- Coach and support the plants EHS Improvement Plan is appropriate and executed.
- Analyzes health and Safety data to identify trends and losses that can be prevented and eliminated.
- Perform job site analysis to determine employee and property exposures, and institute safe work practices.
- Maintains all corporate required documentation related to health and Safety programs (i.e. accident reports, inspection reports, corrective action logs, training records, etc.).
- Oversees EHS standards and activities including training, collection, and records maintenance for conservation programs.
- Partner and support EHS leaders including Internal/External Audits, Air Quality Inspections, Dust Collector Reports, and annual training.
- Develop and implement an Industrial Hygiene and ergonomics program, complete with strategies and metrics to track progress, to work towards a goal of excellence.
- Communicate with staff, including leadership, to generate awareness, ensure compliance, and implement programs company wide.
Important Details: This is a full-time permanent, hybrid position in our Oak Brook, IL corporate office.
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
- BS. degree in environmental, health and Safety, IH, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+years of experience in Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, hazard communications, accident investigation and Safety training methods, etc.)
- Knowledge of industry best practice regarding safety, Industrial Hygiene, and ergonomics
- Hygienist certification preferred
- Experience in ergonomics and/or manufacturing preferred
