Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Flying Test Bed and Specialty Test Sub-IPT Deputy Manager 2.
The Strike Program Systems Test Team requires a Flight Test Operations and Section Manager responsible for all facets of Strike Systems Test operations, including staffing, planning, execution, and reporting in multiple technology areas. In addition, the candidate will fill the role of Deputy to the System Test Team, Specialty Test Sub-IPT Manager. This position will be based at Melbourne, FL.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and self-starting individual with relevant test operations experience, who will be willing to work additional assignments beyond the defined requirements of this position.
Key responsibilities include:

• Manage a Test Article: This will include the daily test activities and personnel support, prioritization of tasks and the strategic long-term planning of test operations.
• Evaluate, review and implement department policies and procedures to ensure the Flight Test Operations department is operating in a safe and effective manner, as well as in accordance with all government and company regulations.
• Support for all sub-IPT for all STT IPT functions to include schedule, budgets, personnel, and resources.
• Manage the daily tasks of the assigned personnel, including Test Conductors, Test Directors, Mission Planners, Aircrew and support personnel.
• Liaise with the Melbourne T&E Functional Homeroom as required for the statement of work.
• Support technical interchange meetings (TIMs)
• Identify all risks, issues, and pressures and develop mitigation and closure plans.
• Lead a 15+ member team as the Functional Homeroom Section Manager for the assigned personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional/miliary experience in Engineering.
• Must have prior management / leadership experience.
• Must have an active DOD Secret clearance.
• Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Science degree in science, technology, engineering, or math
• DOD Top Secret clearance, with an investigation date within the past 6 years
• Knowledge in Flight Test, Specialty Test, or Mission Systems Testing.
• Flexibility to work additional assignments beyond the defined requirements of this position.
• Strong communication, project management, leadership, and team building skills.

Salary Range: $127,700.00 - $191,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
