EVOA Propulsion is an EV systems developer and integrator of advanced electric architectures for the marine industry. EVOA is looking for a validation engineer to lead the effort in qualifying our patented E1 system at production and qualifying developmental product before delivery to maritime customers. This role would include writing and conducting test plans, optimizing end of line checks to ensure quality product deliveries. This engineer will write data analysis tools and help ensure compliance with regulatory bodies. This critical role will be accountable for understanding requirements, writing/updating test cases, executing test cases, opening quality defects, triage support, troubleshooting customer feedback for the entire propulsion system. Additional Description Responsibilities:
- Write specific test cases to cover appropriate level of validation for new features
- Offer technical knowledge of end-to-end system components Propulsion plant and vessel infotainment system as well as on how they integrate
- Define test strategies based on software/hardware development plans
- Define and maintain test plans based on development schedule
- Setup and configure necessary hardware and operating environments for specialized and daily test cases
- Audit and participate in development process of product to ensure ABYC and or ISO compliance
- Perform field testing and integration with test vessels
- Write scripts to analyze system performance
- Develop test benches to qualify/validate product
- Work with calibration/software teams to develop vessel test schedules
- Work with Mechanical team to develop tests and vessel test schedules
- Participate in end user troubleshooting sometimes requiring travel Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Independent worker requiring little direction and works well in a team environment
- Excellent planner and complex problem solver
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis
- Working knowledge of Computer programming language
- Knowledge of and passion for electrification propulsion system architectures
- Familiarity with marine systems and applications Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with vehicle control systems doing development, testing, or calibration
- Experience/passion in boating and/or water sports
- Masters of Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Two years of post-graduation engineering experience
- Experience with tools commonly used in vehicle diagnostics
- Hands on capability
- CAD Experience (Siemens NX preferred)
