We are seeking a talented Business Analyst candidate with in-depth Fixed Income product knowledge, & operational workflow experience. Candidate must have subject matter proficiency in wide variety of Fixed Income products; inclusive of cash securities, financing, & derivatives. Individual will be required to support Fixed Income projects & enhancements within dynamic capital markets trading business.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (1) Business Requirements, (2) Functional requirements, (3) Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, (4) UAT Test Plans, (5) Testing Scripts, (6) Traceability Matrix
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Learn intricacies of bank's Fixed Income workflows & infrastructure;
Perform & coordinate integration, regression, & UAT testing;
Assist Project Managers to communicate status to Business & IT management and coordinate management of project risks.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
7 years' experience in and command of business analysis principals
Graduate Degree in Finance or other relevant field of study
Strong & Comprehensive Fixed Income Product Knowledge {MBS / UST / Agency / Muni / Corporate Bonds, Repo, Tri-Party, Derivatives, Etc.};
Complete understanding of trade capture, trade life-cycle, P&L, & risk concepts within Fixed Income markets;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Attention to detail and thoroughness a must;
Proactive team player with a "can-do" attitude;
