We are seeking a Field Service Technician to be based in Echo HQ, San Diego. This person is to provide post-sale on-site services, remote customer engagement, as well as in-house service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Provides post-sale technical service and support to customers, including Routine Maintenance, Calibration, Basic Troubleshooting, Customer Support, as well as Maintenance of Echo Microscope Systems.
- Performs assigned Field Service Cases within the provided date and time requirements.
- Works to ensure minimal customer downtime and workflow interruptions.
- Documents and compiles data of completed service on Echo Microscope Systems.
- Self manages travel schedule to minimize expenses.
- Assesses and refurbishes any used material that may be returned to Echo HQ.
- Completes in-house component specific testing and rework.
- Performs Quality Control checks on outgoing parts to support Service Team.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years of related technical experience, graduate of technical school preferred
- Valid Driver's license in good standing
- Experience in the use of tools, and diagnostic test equipment
- Ability to write reports and compose business correspondence
- Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from customers
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Frequent travel, occasionally on short notice, non-standard hours.
- Weekly travel of 3 days, 2 nights
- Ability to lift up 45lbs
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Protective devises, apparel, or PPE may be required is designated areas.
