Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Safety & Compliance Manager to join our dynamic Project Management team (PMT). As part of the PMT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of capital projects with the utmost dedication to safety, integrity, and compliance. Our projects encompass various sizes and complexities, including mega-size ventures like the Marjan Increment Program, the Crude Oil to Chemicals program, the Gas Compression Program, the Berri & Zuluf Increment, and AMIRAL Program.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Construction Safety & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:
Assessing and reporting contractor compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
Conducting preconstruction job explanation and kick-off meetings to communicate construction execution safety requirements.
Tracking and analyzing Key Performance Indicators to identify performance improvement opportunities.
Developing and conducting safety training programs for project teams.
Providing expert advice and consultation to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Identifying and evaluating hazardous conditions and practices on-site.
Undertaking surveys to assess occupational health, safety, and environmental conditions.
Conducting on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.
Providing guidance on corporate safety regulations and procedures.
Reviewing and supporting bid packages for the incorporation of quality standards.
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a related field from a recognized program (an advanced degree is preferred).
At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience in heavy construction safety, preferably in the on/offshore oil/gas construction industry or petrochemical construction industry.
Demonstrated expertise in providing hands-on health, safety, and environmental training.
Ability to develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive health and safety programs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to participate in teams and/or committees.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and knowledge of health, safety, and environmental fields' standards, concepts, practices, and procedures.
