The Fesco Group is looking for an energetic, innovative Product Development & Sourcing Manager. The ideal candidate will be a creative, thinker and go-getter who is looking to change the world through innovation. The position includes sourcing products and viable vendors and managing the Product Development and production cycle ensuring that products are manufactured in an efficient and successful and that we deliver value and quality to the end-user.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyze the market, identify white spaces and opportunities and establish brand positioning and consumer insights
- Shape and communicate your vision and mission to all the stakeholders.
- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies with vendors in China
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
- Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with vendor partners
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Monitor market trends, research consumer markets, and competitors’ activities shop outs
- Be creative, shop out the category, identify opportunities for line extension
- Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices, and tactics
- Collaborate with sales and design team on packaging concepts
- Collaborate with China team to review test reports

Requirements needed in order to be successful:
- BS degree in engineering (electronics) required
- Hardgoods or consumer products a must - soft lines candidates will not be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of sourcing and Product Development experience
- Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to executives
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
- A knack for negotiation and networking
- Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
- Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers
- Outstanding communication skills
- Up to date with latest trends and best practices
- China travel 2-3 times per year when safe to do so
- After 6 pm WeChat collaboration with China
- Spoken Mandarin a plus
