REQUIREMENT DETAILS

Job Title: Event Management Associate
Location: Ny, Ny-10179 (ONSITE)

Pay Rate: $40/hr on W2
Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension

Roles and Responsibilities:

As an Event Management Associate, you will be responsible for managing internal meetings; acting as the single point of contact for the client, engaging event partners as needed and supervising staff to exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate will have excellent client interaction, problem solving and decision-making skills, work well under pressure and be highly organized. This is an onsite five day a week front desk position.

  • Coordinate meetings and events within designated centre. Work with internal partners in catering, audio visual and facilities to meet the clients’ expectations. Meet and greet each client daily, provide personalized high touch customer service.
  • Adhere to standards of operations established for Conference Centre
  • Handle day to day challenges clients present while driving towards a solution.
  • Ensure maximum utilization of space to achieve yearly utilization goals.
  • Participate in daily operations meeting as well as weekly review.
  • Execute preconference call/meeting, and post conference call/meeting when applicable.
  • Manage space issues, escalate unresolved issues to lead planner, manager.
  • Cover reception desk essential functions; answering telephone calls, returning emails promptly.
  • Strong communicator that is able to manage correspondence between planning team and reservation holders throughout the booking process while providing an outstanding customer service experience.

Skills:

  • Five plus years’ experience in 5-star hotels, Event Planning and Food & Beverage with high touch customer service
  • Effectively manage guest experience and expectations through a high level of tact and diplomacy
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and apply judgment to priority.
  • Working knowledge of audio-visual systems
  • Flexibility to deal with a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  • MS Office skills, knowledge of EMS booking system (a plus)
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts covering conference center hours and locations.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
