Job Role Summary:
The Facility Site Manager is responsible for routinely inspecting the RecNation RV & Boat self-storage facilities to guarantee that building services are at the highest level of quality standards. This includes performing general preventive maintenance, corrective facility repairs, and groundskeeping while providing timely responses to tenant service requests. As a Facility Maintenance team member, you will engage with several teams across multiple functions and will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe and appealing self-storage facility
- Repair building finishes, such as painting (brush and roll)
- Maintain/install electronic equipment such as gate keypads
- Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris
- Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies
- Ensure the ticketing system is updated for reporting purposes and KPI performance initiatives through use of a company provided tablet
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, etc.
- Actively participates in emergency response procedures, technical and safety training programs
- Ability to use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, facility surveillance systems, etc.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with other Facility Site Managers, maintenance workers, management, and staff and work closely with them on all projects
- Monitors the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
- Periodically acts as the on-call facility maintenance technician for the portfolio of self-storage facilities
- Other assigned duties may include periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company needs and requirements with tight deadlines
Skills:
- Two (2) years of experience with facility maintenance and operations
- Ability to move heavy objects
- Ability to work, adapt and adjust in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal and a positive team attitude
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in building management and monitoring systems
- Familiarity with computer use including relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Calendar, Teams, Word, Excel)
Education or Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required

- 4 to 6-hour shift (Day shift or Evening shift)

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk long distances to cover the property portfolio.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds +

- Will require daily interaction with teams in person, on the phone, and via email in order to perform the job
- Wears appropriate safety equipment and follows established safety practices and procedures.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver license required
