The SMX GOST Cell is looking for an Operations Manager - Site Lead to join our team in providing cutting edge analytics in support of the Global Combatant Commands. Specifically, this role entails leading a team of data analysts and conducting advanced data research and analysis as well as providing direction, guidance, and leadership to a 10-15 person team.
This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contracts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as primary POC for incoming RFS to the analytic cell, leading prioritization and scoping of client requests for support
- Perform advanced data identification, gathering, analysis, fusion, and evaluation of open-source and commercially available data, products, and services
- Develop quantitative and qualitative analytic techniques to integrate and analyze data, solve problems, and effectively communicate results to senior leaders and decision makers
- Delegate, task, and execute analytics and production across the analytic cell, and ensure appropriate analytic processes are executed and final products are technically sound
- Generate technical requirements and drive capability development efforts related to data, analytics, and production
- Provide leadership and mentorship to analysts in the across the cell and coordinate with and inform leadership of operational challenges as needed
- Perform SMX supervisory duties, including: timecard approval, expense report approval, quarterly reviews, yearly reviews, and provide merit-based salary recommendations
- Provide input, metrics and assessments to weekly activity reports and monthly executive summaries
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate individually and in a team environment in researching multi-faceted problem sets in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead an analytic team in providing support to government clients
- Expertise in acquiring, visualizing, and analyzing network and spatio-temporal data
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and tradecraft standards to deliver analytic findings in textual form, graphic annotation, or other formats as directed by the government customer, and develop and present briefings to support customer requirements
- Advanced knowledge of commercial datasets commonly used in support of Law Enforcement and Department of Defense information and analytic operations
- Expert ability in converting data collected from multiple sources to perform geospatial analysis
- Experience utilizing commercially available analytic toolsets, including but not limited to: Analyst's Notebook, ArcMap/ArcPro, Google Earth
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in scientific related field
- Prior formal experience providing leadership and guidance to an analytic team
- Analytic support to SOF
- Knowledge of the targeting cycle
- Knowledge of other intelligence disciplines, including signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), imagery intelligence (IMINT), and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)
- Experience with publicly available information (PAI) analytic principals
