Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance and Safety Technician will keep facilities maintained to a high standard, be proactive of all preventative maintenance of machines and stays on top of preventative maintenance program.
Responsibilities:
-Repairs and maintains shop equipment such as brakes and shears
- Performs electrical work for shop equipment
- Changes lights and fixtures
- Does plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations
- Does carpentry repairs for doors, shelves, countertops, etc.
- Repairs of electrical devices
- Conducts facilities safety inspections
- General Facilities Maintenance areas would include:
*HVAC
*Entrances of property-must be properly marked, lit and clear
*Exit areas of property-must be property marked, lit and clear
*Overhead doors
*Lighting
*Surveillance cameras
*Roof
*Pest control
- Oversees preventative maintenance programs for the following:
*Cranes-critical to our operation
*Brakes
*Shears
*Welding equipment
*Plasma cutters
*Plasma table
*Forklifts
*Scaffolding
*Ladders
- Passes out, collects, and files all Preventative Maintenance Service Reports
- Ensures Maintenance Service Reports are being completed yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, monthly, weekly, daily, etc.
- Coordinates and evaluates outside contractor maintenance work, with the assistance of the Director of Operations
- Provides technical assistance to the Director of Operations
- Inspects equipment and machinery; Recommends repairs or replacement
- 3+ years of professional experience in the Maintenance and repair of plant mechanical and electrical equipment
- Must have understanding of the electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical trades
- Must have had previous OSHA safety training
- Own basic hand and power tools
- Proficient In Microsoft softwares
