CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR - PRIVATE MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Seeking motivated (CM/PM) Construction Inspectors with experience and education to join us in a high-rise mixed-used development program in Columbus Ohio. Candidates will report to a Project Managers as well as collaborate and assist the client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on a major construction project.
Responsibilities:
Senior Inspectors will provide quality assurance inspections for the contractor related to all aspects of construction and safety. Their duties will include, performing field inspections, taking photographs, providing field reports, and developing potential solutions to constructability issues. Inspectors will be required to learn and implement industry, client, and internal company best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the high-rise environment. The CM services will be used to support traditional CM @ Risk and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.
- Perform inspections of materials used; verify the quality of workmanship, quality of materials used, and compliance with plans, specifications, estimates, and applicable codes and regulations;
- Note deficiencies and deviations from plans.
- Report serious problems and disagreements in interpretation to the Project Team and Owner.
- Maintain, update, and assure the accuracy of inspection records, project documentation, and project files.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensing: None Required
- Education: Associate degree OR graduate of an accredited Trade School or formal construction apprenticeship program OR 14 years of directly related experience.
- Experience:10 years of experience in construction inspection and contractor oversight activities associated with facilities (i.e., buildings, structures, equipment, systems, etc.) construction and implementation. Familiarity with handling RFI, change orders, submittals logs, etc. Also, field knowledge of safety, scheduling, and cost control are essential skills. Professional experience should also include the ability to read and interpret construction documents.

- Experience with high-rise mixed-use developments
- CQM, OSHA, and other specific construction inspection-related certifications
