Job Description
Responsible for the management of facilities planning, repair and maintenance for all buildings utilities, properties and grounds, to include development and updating of the master plan; preventive and corrective maintenance and repair of plant, equipment, and utility systems; major and minor renovations; capital improvement and construction; energy systems and conservation programs; hazardous materials programs; health and safety programs; budgeting and purchasing re: facilities and services requirements; supervise the repair and maintenance shops and supervise applicable contracted services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in building services operations or facilities management which includes responsibility for a large complex of buildings.
· Understanding of current best practices, methods, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment which are essential to the daily management of building and maintenance activities.
· Sufficient knowledge of building HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, and Maintenance to be able to supervise and manage colleagues in these roles.
· Managerial experience of small to medium-sized teams.
· General carpentry and handyman skills.
· Experience preparing and maintaining strategic plans and budgets.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Experience presenting to management teams and / or senior leadership.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
· Must be self-motivated and able to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks in order to meet various deadlines.
· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
· Experience using a work order system.
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Must have a valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
