Metz Environmental Services is hiring a Facilities Director in your area! We are looking for an experienced Facilities Director to oversee all building-related activities. This individual will oversee a staff of frontline employees plus a department supervisor.

You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe, clean, and well-functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities, motivational techniques, and high energy will set you apart.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
• Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeeper, housekeepers etc.) and external contractors
• Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
• Keep accurate records of facilities operations

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in a similar role
• Well-versed in facilities management best practices
• Experience managing facilities personnel
