The energy transition continues to disrupt regional commodity markets and with the Americas being a core growth region for the RWE group, RWETA has ambitious expansion plans and seeks highly motivated and experienced professionals to join the NYC-based team.
This is a unique career opportunity to play a key role in the formation of a trading and origination business in a market of strategic importance to a long established, and highly respected international energy trading company that has physical and financial energy markets in its DNA.
Your role
- Reporting directly to the Head of Americas Trading & Origination, you will be responsible for a wide variety of organizational and administrative tasks supporting the RWETA executives and small but growing New York team;
- Following the key activities and business developments of RWETA, your core focus will be efficient calendar management for the executives, requiring prioritization and scheduling of meetings and appointments, resolution of diary conflicts, and coordination of travel arrangements. You will also screen, forward, and respond to emails and phone calls as appropriate;
- You will provide general administrative support for RWETA staff, including assistance with travel bookings, registration and external representation (external parties & customers), coordination of desk and meeting room availability, and organization of company events;
- You will support with office and pantry supply management, mail collection and distribution, document filing, and coordination with building management on service requests.
- You act as a key point of contact and communication interface between all internal and external business partners at all levels;
- Having oversight of all relevant projects and tasks, you will ensure to optimise processes, thus proactively driving efficiency and innovation.
Your powerful skills
- You have at least 2 years' experience as an Executive Assistant or related role in an international business organization;
- Ability to cope with and enjoy the challenges of a highly dynamic and often comparatively unstructured, fast-moving environment as well as proactively identify solutions to problems and display independent judgment when making decisions;
- You will frequently interact with board members and senior management across the global RWE Group, as well as with external contacts. A highly flexible, proactive and resourceful approach with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is required;
- Ability to work without close supervision and to prioritize work effectively in order to deliver to tight deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills across all levels
- Quick comprehension skills and highest level of self-motivation- as well as innovative spirit;
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), SAP and Citric would be advantageous;
- You are excited to work in a role requiring daily in-person collaboration with your colleagues on our state-of-the-art trading floor in central Manhattan.
