PURPOSE
Provide high level administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Under the direction of the CFO, the Executive Assistant will manage administrative office functions, correspondence, scheduling, and support functions.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Supervises: Up to 4 FTE
Liaison To: Other departments, and Investment, Finance, Audit Committees
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Track and manage projects and requests for the CFO
Manage the administrative functions of the CFO Office including scheduling and correspondence
Meeting preparation and recording of minutes for Committees
Schedule, coordinate, and provide logistical support for meetings and events
Draft, proofread and format documents and correspondence
Assist CFO with variety of financial reports
Assist with the department's annual report to Tribal Assembly
Monitor and maintain office supplies
Maintain files, electronic and hard copy, in accordance with applicable procedures
Assist departments with user setups on Finance related electronic systems
Other duties as assigned

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to work effectively with executives, managers, supervisors, employees, and delegates
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets and database software
Strong time management interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a constantly changing environment
Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Possess excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
Ability to interpret, apply and explain laws, regulations and policies
Ability to identify discrepancies or inaccuracies in data and make corrections
Familiarity with Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian cultures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)
Associate degree
2 years' experience in related field
Valid driver's license
Substitution for Education
4 years' experience in related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)
5 years' experience in related field
2 years' supervisory experience
UNUSUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR RESTRICTIONS
The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs. Travel on small aircraft or ferry may be required.
