Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) was formed in 1993 to serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.

Job Title: Executive Assistant
JOB SUMMARY: Provides administrative support and assistance to the Executive Team while serving as the liaison to outside agencies and the Board of Directors on behalf of the CEO. Performs full range of administrative services and executes independent decisions under minimal supervision within established guidelines. Manages special projects, creating reports and data management. Represents MHC’s mission and philosophy to the community, as well as to internal MHC staff.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-4:30p (onsite)
Salary: $55k-$60k/year
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as support to Executive Leadership and others as needed.
- Coordinate complex scheduling and calendars for reoccurring and ad hoc executive leadership meetings, including weekly Ops meetings, Quality and Compliance meetings, finance meetings, etc.
- Attend executive meetings as assigned and complete minutes.
- Serves as the liaison to the Board of Directors. Establish and manage a communication plan for the Board of Directors, including notification of committee and board meetings, completion of board
- Coordinate complex scheduling and calendar management for reoccurring and ad hoc Board and Board Committee meetings.
- Maintain and refine internal processes that support executives companywide.

- Maintain a database of documents and files including but not limited to presentations, contracts, project plans, proposals, meeting approvals, meeting minutes, templates and
- Design and format reports, forms, proposals, correspondence. Create, format, type, edit, proof, and finalize reports and presentations with attention to detail using Microsoft 365, Excel, Word (including Mail Merger), SharePoint and
- Provide screening, prioritizing of inbound communications via telephone, mail, and e-mail to resolve critical issues in a timely manner while exercising the utmost degree of discretion and
- Provide project management, partner with staff when needed to accomplish projects and initiatives as directed by Executive Team in a timely and professional
- Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Manage complex office administrative work requiring the use of independent judgment and initiative.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or related
- Two years of Administrative assistant experience is required
- Additional years of related work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 essential, including a strong working knowledge and experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, SharePoint and Access; experience with Concur
- Demonstrate professional attitude with an ethical work
- Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
- Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation
