Job Summary:
The Executive Client Advisor, or ECA, maintains and develops an existing customer base and works proactively to secure new clients. Their superior communication skills, continuing education, underwriting and risk management skills enable them to have face to face interaction with clients with or without the support of an Account Executive.
The ECA represents Wells Insurance with local, regional, and global insurance product knowledge. They conduct on-site client and prospect risk assessments, financial analyses, and engages in meaningful dialogue relative to business and industry trends. They possess current knowledge of insurance markets, insurance rating, and underwriting procedures which enable them to work on complex risks with many concrete and abstract variables.
*While the majority of the duties associated with this role can be performed remotely, our ECA will lead onsite client meetings in Eastern North Carolina. Our ideal candidate will live in North Carolina or South Carolina and commute to these meetings.*
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and develop an existing customer base as well as work proactively to secure new clients
• Utilize superior communication skills, continuing education, underwriting and risk management skills to have face to face interaction with clients with or without an Account Executive
• Represent the agency with local, regional, and global insurance product knowledge
• Conduct on-site client and prospect risk assessments, financial analysis, and be capable of meaningful dialogue relative to business modules and industry trends
• Proficient in preparing proposals and making presentations to both existing clients as well as prospective clients
• Possess current knowledge of insurance markets, insurance rating and underwriting procedures, allowing them to work on complex risks with many concrete and abstract variables
• Conducts presentations with clients on renewals and with new prospects
• Analyze client needs, coverage forms and quotations
• Actively negotiates policy coverages and premiums with underwriters
• Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages
• Completes applications, submits to appropriate markets; follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies
• Follows all company and divisional SOPs regarding the agency operating system
• Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items, verifies their accuracy, and forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence
• Will regularly meet or exceed the sales goals of your agency team
• Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals
• Processes renewals in accordance with agency procedures
• Reviews audits of policies, verifies accuracy, facilitates corrections between client and carrier
• Determines reasons for requests for cancellations and actively works to retain accounts
• Handles emergencies promptly and appropriately
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Proficient in the use of an Agency Management System (EPIC is a plus!)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Organized and detail oriented
- Excellent time management skills
Education and Experience:
- Active Property & Casualty license
- 7 years of experience in Commercial Insurance in a Client Advisor or Senior Client Advisor role, or a Bachelor's degree in Risk Mangement with 3 - 5 years of experience in Commercial Insurance in a Client Advisor or Senior Client Advisor role
