We are working on a hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office, 2 at home.
Cognex Corporation is hiring an Events Specialist. The ideal candidate should have experience in the events industry and be passionate about event planning. The Events team at Cognex produces various employee events, such as socials, meetings, outings, and celebrations. It's a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that aims to deliver excellence and preserve a unique company culture.
The Events Specialist will:
Plan, organize, and execute monthly employee social events from start to finish while prioritizing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
Manage the employee online store, including updating selections and ordering merchandise and promotional items
Assist the Senior Manager of Global Events in organizing local, regional and international large-scale events such as employee meetings, department outings, and President’s Club incentive trips
Develop invitations, design event RSVP pages, manage event registration tools, track attendance data, and collect attendee information
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to arrange team celebrations and executive lunches
Collaborate with the Employee Services team for the distribution of employee awards and product giveaways
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in corporate event planning, including scouting locations, soliciting bids, managing vendor relationships and client communications, creating and negotiating contracts, and managing budgets
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills and a professional presence necessary to interact with internal and external stakeholders across different time zones, including senior leadership
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to move multiple projects forward, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
A positive attitude, creativity, high standards, and a sense of urgency
Ability for some domestic and international travel
Experience working with Microsoft Office and registration tools/platforms such as CVENT
