Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team. The Event Planner will be responsible for coordinating and executing 2-3 corporate conference events per year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Duties:
- Assist with the planning and execution of all aspects of events, including venue selection, private dining experiences, group excursion, and logistics
- Develop event budgets and manage expenses to ensure financial targets are met
- Collaborate with clients and speakers to understand their event objectives and preferences
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and equipment
- Manage event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met
- Help to oversee event setup, including seating arrangements, audiovisual equipment, and signage
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Previous experience in event planning or related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management
- Customer service-oriented with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Knowledge of event marketing strategies
- Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Familiarity with business conferences, or hospitality industry is a plus
