Summary:
Powin is looking for an experienced EOL Test Engineer to support Powin’s contract manufacturers (CM’s), Product Engineering and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC). This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of all current and future state end of the line testing fixtures, equipment and testing procedures. The role will require a deep understanding of the technical and practical aspects of end of line testing development and engineering for energy storage systems. This position will also collaborate with development teams from design to delivery of our products in coordination with electrical, mechanical, and other engineering teams. The EOL Test Engineer will have a constant connection with ISC and Manufacturing teams, to hand over finished designs and module structures for sourcing and manufacturing. The ideal candidate is experienced with EOL testing, an effective communicator, and possesses multidisciplinary knowledge in engineering, thermal and battery systems.
Job Details:
- Help develop new test stations for our prototype and actual manufactured devices (fixture development, measurement
specifications, test procedures) - Build automated test systems to measure device performance. Work with Product Managers to calibrate these measurements to
the customer experience - Translate our insights into specs and validation plans for future products. Design and implement experiments to evaluate new
modules or device functionality - Coordinate end of the line testing procedures with Software and Firmware teams
- Evaluate experiment data quality. Support development through production of hardware equipment such as sensors, modules,
electronic control energy storage systems, battery controls - Develop test planning for design verification and product validation
- Build and maintain end of line test equipment for production and prototype products
- Develop appropriate and scientific procedures to test products. Perform design validation and manufactured product testing and
verification procedures - Prepare detailed data reports and test procedures, including characterization data, documenting the results and methods used
- Create and edit schematics, bills of material (BOMs), and assembly drawings. Check drawings, circuit boards and schematics for
accuracy - Provide critical feedback to other engineering and manufacturing network. Develop and maintain working relationship with the Product Design Engineer(s) with knowledge of hardware testing.
- Support the manufacturing process by troubleshooting problems and effecting timely solutions to maintain the continuity of the production flow. Troubleshoot issues with test stations

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of industry experience, focused on hardware and end of the line tests
- Bachelors or Masters degree in at least one relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in hardware testing
- Demonstrated successful experience working with and leading at multiple levels within an organization from shop floor to executive level
- Background working with existing teams and supporting engagement with new customers
- Understanding financial and P&L information and cost drivers including speed to market and rapid development cycle processes
- Demonstrated experience in hardware, concept to manufacturing design, problem solving, hardware manufacturing execution
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
- Typical travel of 25-35% to support contract manufacturer or suppliers
- Ability to speak Mandarin is preferred, but not required
