ESS is looking for a motivated and hard-working Battery Test Engineer to join our team. This person is responsible for testing and validating performances of our battery stacks.
What you’ll do at ESS.
- Plan and conduct operational Battery Testing, and monitor performance daily.
- Analyze, summarize, and report Battery Testing data regularly.
- Perform battery performance diagnostics and basic troubleshooting on fluid management systems and power electronics.
- Operate and maintain product validation test fixtures.
- Conduct investigations and research and development activities on battery modules with R&D scientists and design engineers.
What you bring to the table.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines with related hands on experience in labs settings, or Masters/PhD.
- Knowledge of wet chemistry, electrochemistry, batteries, and power electronics.
- Experience working in a wet-chemistry lab or electrical lab.
- Comfortable working with chemicals, including acid.
- Comfortable working with electronics such as Battery Testing instruments.
- Strong attention to details and can work from standard operating procedures.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a small, dynamic team.
