Our dedicated team knows the key to any successful nonprofit is donor engagement, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to scale our nonprofit partners' visibility and impact in the Columbus area. To do this, we are looking for a fun, outgoing, and compassionate Event Assistant to join our team.
The Event Assistant is an integral part of our team's ability to support our nonprofit partners in the Columbus area. The EventAssistant will be expected to participate in all fundraising activities, including promotional events, donor relations, and community outreach. The Event Assistant works directly with both our nonprofit partners and potential donors, therefore communication skills are essential to this role. The Event Assistant will have the opportunity to train into an Event Manager upon completion of training with a senior member of our team.
Below are some of the responsibilities an Event Assistant is expected to assume in their position.
- Identify and approach potential donors during community-based events
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and activities
- Conduct territory and market research
- Account for and track donations
- Execute presentations and promotional activities during each event
- Participate in classroom-style training sessions at our office
- Stay up to date on all compliance standards and client information
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to liaise with people at all levels, both virtually and in person
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and determination
- Ability to prioritize tasks, management responsibilities, and maintain compliance
- Ability to think outside the box and ask questions to continually improve fundraising results

Pay: $650.00 - $1,000.00 per week
